I spend an inordinate amount of time thinking about growing revenue in all sort of businesses. Most of the time it comes back to the fundamentals. Before ever considering the sales strategy and tactics, the leader of the company needs to determine if she has a solid sales foundation in place. If not, then let’s start there as laying a solid sales foundation will increase your chances at sustained growth (i.e. repeatability and predictability). Below are some elements of a solid sales foundation. All may not apply to your business, however some of these are must haves if you’re going to grow revenue.
